The Conference Board of Laity is offering an opportunity for lay and clergy leaders across the conference to create systems of intentional discipleship formation or improve on an existing one. The event will be led by Dr. Phil Maynard of
emc3coaching.com and author of the books, “Shift: Helping Congregations Back Into the Game of Effective Ministry” and “Membership to Discipleship: Grow Maturing Disciples Who Make Disciples.” The event will be offered in 4 locations to increase access across the conference. The day’s activities begin at 9:30 (check in) with training running from 10 am – 3:30 pm. The fee is $10 per person and includes lunch.

Friday, August 24 – Corridor and Fairway Districts: Aldersgate UMC, Durham
Saturday, August 25 – Capital and Heritage Districts: Garner UMC, Garner
Monday, August 27 – Beacon and Sound Districts: St. James UMC, Greenville
Tuesday, August 28 – Gateway and Harbor Districts: Chestnut Street UMC, Lumberton
