Calling all riders, volunteers and/or sponsors for the 6th Annual TSS Ride for Life on Saturday, June 13, 2015! The Spiritual Spinners 2015 Ride for Life features cycling opportunities for families with young cyclists on the In-Town Family Ride and five out of town routes ranging from the Leg Stretcher at 30km/19 miles to the Iron Ride coming in at 112 miles for individual cyclists. In addition to the six fully supported routes, there is a complimentary meal with desserts and beverages served after the ride.
To make this year a huge success, we need you! Please consider volunteering to help at the rest stops, bake goodies (muffins, cookies, brownies, etc.), offer vehicle support, set-up, clean-up or cheer us on! If interested, please contact Kathy Wall via email: email@example.com.
Even if you don’t plan to ride, you can also support us through donations. To donate, click on “Sponsor the Ride for Life” bethemomentum.com/event/ride-for-life

“God’s Garden” (community garden spearheaded by the Norman Charge) serves persons in five counties and produces 15-18 tons of produce annually for families with children in poverty. Cooking classes for the community will begin this summer as persons learn new ways to serve healthy fresh produce. As a “C 4 C” church family, the Norman Charge is sharing their knowledge in partnership with the children of Mineral Springs Elementary School as a school vegetable garden is emerging. Rev. Dena McFarland White is eager to share her enthusiasm and encouragement with others as community partnerships continue to grow.
“Congregations for Children” is purposefully a diverse outreach into our communities. Local congregations are having great success and a whole lot of fun as we share our gifts and talents to meet human need in our midst while supporting our local public schools.
Discover an overview about becoming a Congregation for Children on the Fairway District web site http://fairwaydistrictnc.org/congregations-for-children-c4c/c4c-resources/ or by contacting Elaine Lilliston at email@example.com.
The Fairway District UMM scholarship is awarded to deserving young men from District churches that have a current (2015) chartered UMM group. The 2015 Scholarship guidelines and application are available for download at
Please make sure the eligible young men in your church are aware of the opportunity to apply for this Scholarship.
This scholarship is funded solely by contributions from the UMM groups in the Fairway District as well as the proceeds from our spring golf tournament
http://fairwaydistrictnc.org/fairway-district-umm-spring-golf-tournament-may-21/. In 2014, UMM groups contributed $2850 and the golf tournament raised $630 for a total fund of $3480. Eight scholarships were awarded. This year we have a goal of raising at least $5,000 for the Scholarship Fund. We can reach this goal only through your contributions and your support of the golf tournament. Please ask your men to consider supporting the Scholarship Fund in one or both of these ways. Please note that one of the requirements for the scholarship is that the sponsoring UMM group must contribute at least $150 to the Scholarship Fund.
Donations to the Scholarship Fund may be sent to Bill Huggins, Fairway District UMM President, 1495 Kentucky Ave., Sanford, NC 27332. Checks should be made payable to “Fairway District UMM.” Questions? Contact Bill at firstname.lastname@example.org.
