Disciple Bible Outreach Ministry (DBOM)
Disciple Bible Outreach Ministry is planning our annual training at Jamestown UMC in Jamestown, NC on August 22nd from 10:00am until 2:00pm. All who feel a calling to prison outreach are welcome to attend. Also, keep in mind our annual offering on Sunday, August 23rd. You will not want to miss this opportunity. All proceeds of the love offering will benefit “Imagine No Malaria.”
NC Conference UMM “Duke Day” on September 26
The annual NCCUMM “Duke Day” event will be on Saturday, September 26 for the Duke-Georgia Tech football game. The cost for this event is $30 per person which includes worship service at Goodson Chapel (Duke Divinity School), a cookout meal of hamburgers and hotdogs, and a ticket to the Duke-Georgia Tech game. The worship service will begin 3 hours before game time (which will be announced about 10 days prior to the game). UMM groups are encouraged to sponsor the attendance of underprivileged youth at this event.

All youth, parents, and youth counselors are invited to attend Lay Servant Ministry (LSM) Training for Youth on Saturday, October 24 (9:00am until 5:00pm) at Smyrna UMC, Robbins, NC. This is an opportunity for young persons, and their adult mentors, to be equipped as leaders in their local church. Rev. Ray Gooch will be leading this engaging time of learning and conversation.
In keeping with Safe Sanctuaries, there must be one church-designated adult for every six youth attending this training. In addition, the responsible adult must bring his or her church’s medical release forms and emergency contact information for their participants.
More information regarding your pre-class assignment will be provided following registration.
