’tis the season, friends, to be celebrating and seeking ways to support our local public schools!!!  This is a win-win for local congregations as we nurture the communities entrusted to our care.  Quick wins might include:

• Blessing of backpacks or lunch boxes during morning worship
• Greeting educators at school with posters & smiles on their first workday
• Sharing donated school supplies (lists are often available from schools)
• Offering school year prayer partnerships between educators and church members
• Affirming educators with celebratory yard signs
• Providing a “back to school” workday breakfast in individual bags or buffet as allowed by your area schools
• Lining middle & high school walkways with joy-filled community members to greet incoming students
