Surely God is my salvation;
I will trust and not be afraid.
The Lord, the Lord Himself, is my strength and my defense;
He has become my salvation. Isaiah 12:2
In the midst of the busyness, the responsibilities, the pressing needs,
the felt urgencies of others, and the real needs of your own,
I invite you to take a few moments to breathe…
Hear the truth of the promise of God’s grace, present with you now…
with every breath, with every heartbeat…
Let the brief moment of these words and their eternal reality
wash over you…
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you,
for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses,
so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9
Please insert your name after “you”…
My grace is sufficient for you_______
Now receive and breathe… hear the word Beloved or insert your name in that place…
Beloved, in the place of your busy-ness and responsibilities,
you are enough because God’s grace is sufficient.
In the place of your weariness, Beloved, you are enough
because God’s grace is sufficient.
Beloved, in the place of your overwhelm, you are enough
because God’s grace is sufficient.
In the place of what didn’t get done, Beloved it is enough,
because God’s grace is sufficient.
In the place of the misstep, or the dropped ball, or the misunderstanding,
what seems lost will be found Beloved,
because God’s grace is sufficient.
In the place of the pain, in the place of the struggle,
Beloved, healing will come
because God’s grace is sufficient.
But now, this is what the Lord says…
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze
For I am the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior…
you are precious and honored in my sight…
I love you…
Do not be afraid, for I am with you;
Isaiah 43:1-5
In this season of Emmanuel God with us, I pray that you will know the peace
of God’s holding you close in God’s all surpassing love and all sufficient grace.
God is with you… in every breath, every step, every uncertainty,
every conflict, every challenge, every joy.
Surely God is my salvation;
I will trust and not be afraid.
The Lord, the Lord Himself, is my strength and my defense;
He has become my salvation. Isaiah 12:2
Thanks be to God!
Always thankful for you.
Advent blessings,
Dena
