The Fairway District UMM will again be awarding scholarship grants to deserving young men from churches in the Fairway District who are 25 years old or younger and who will be attending a college or graduate school in the 2022-23 academic year (the 2022 Scholarship Application link is below). Last year, we awarded four grants totaling $4500. The number and amount of awards we can provide depends on the amount in the FDUMM Scholarship Fund. Please make sure the eligible young men in your church are aware of this scholarship opportunity.
The Scholarship Fund has two sources of revenue:
Donations from UMM groups in the Fairway District. Last year we had donations from 8 UMM groups. Please prayerfully consider having your UMM group make a donation to the 2022 Scholarship Fund. Donation checks should be made payable to “FDUMM” with “Scholarship Fund” noted on the check. Checks should be mailed to Bill Huggins, 1495 Kentucky Ave, Sanford, NC 27332.
Proceeds from our annual FDUMM Scholarship Golf Tournament. The 2022 tournament will be on May 25 at 1:30PM at Sanford Golf Course in Sanford. The tournament flyer and registration form links are below. The more teams we have, the more funds will be available for the 2022 Scholarship Awards.
