Connecting with Montgomery County, Hispanic Heritage Celebration in Moore County, and Fall Season Covid 19 Vaccines and Testing Event in Lee County.
For October, Fiesta Cristiana’s CHW Team kept essential efforts in Moore, Montgomery, and Lee County.
The team hosted a significant event in Montgomery County in the Town of Troy with Covid 19 vaccines and testing, shared home test kits, and spoke with many Latino individuals about their struggles and needs.
In Moore County, we supported a beautiful and wonderful celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the San Juan Diego Mission Church in Robbins, where there was a turnout of more than 3,000 people, great Hispanic food, traditional music, and horse exhibitions. We shared resources like health education materials, home test kits, voting registration information, vaccines, and testing for covid 19.
We had a successful Fall Season Vaccination Event in Sanford, Lee County. We served and educated more than a hundred families, and 63 persons received their covid-19 vaccine. Thankfully, people are more receptive and confident about getting the shot to
be protected from the virus.
We are thankful for the collaboration of outstanding community leaders including Father Javier Castrejon from San Juan Diego Mission Church in Robbins.
